AM Security - history

Am Security has a long history which started already in 1979, when Avain-tuote was established in Turku, Finland.

Operations covering the whole of Finland started in 1984 when a group of Finnish security contractors joined forces for the advancement of the industry.

Throughout its history, the company has been developing not only its own operations but also the operations of the industry. First managing director, now member of board of directors, Mr. Leo Oikarinen is a well-known teacher and developer of work techniques. He was also awarded the Security Award 2003 by the leading Finnish security association, Finnsecurity. His footsteps are now followed by his daughter, Ms. Tarja Oikarinen, managing director since June 1st, 2005.

The company has a representation in industry organizations, such as the Finnish Security Contractors Association and Finnsecurity.

Over two decades of successful operations reflect the professional and motivated staff of AM Security. \\\"Constant change, pursuit to become even better and a genuine interest in the industry is the common driver of the whole crew\\\", says Mr. Oikarinen. This is the trend we are looking to see also in the decades to come.

In the end of 2006 AM Security moved to its new 4500 m2 headquater in Turku Finland. The new building combines main office functions with the central warehouse and wholesale, as well as the door and gate automation factory, which were earlier located separately. The new premises enable ever stronger growth of product and service range.
